1.) Compare your futures – Imagine how you will fill after you accomplish your dream. Imagine how you will feel if you allow the time to go by without having even tried. How do you feel in each dream? Really dig deep. Not just happy or sad, try to feel every aspect of looking in the mirror years from now. How do you want to feel? Now, right now, do what it takes to feel that way in the future.
2.) Make a dream board – Clip pictures, print stories, etc. and glue them all together. The goal is to make a visual representation with pictures and phrases that you can look at to re-energize yourself. Make it meaningful.
3.) Just do what needs to be done now, right now – Sometimes a dream or goal can be too overwhelming. That’s ok. Short term passion or motivation can take a vacation but you know what needs to be done to reach your long term goals and dreams. Pull out your action list and get to work. A little progress can relight your fire.
4.) Celebrate your successes – Celebrate every success. Throw yourself a party. Give yourself a high five. You have done so much. You have done many good things. Celebrate them. Take a break a feel good about what you have done. All that is left on your to-do list is merely an excuse to celebrate in the future.
5.) Ask yourself how your success will affect others in your life – Your actions and inactions affect others. No one is an island. If you can’t stay motivated for yourself, be motivated for the ones you love.
